Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
The short version: no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no tracking. Your voice is recognized on your Mac and never reaches us. We keep only what we need to sell you a license and let it work.
Who is responsible
Andrey Bayandin, an individual based in Serbia, is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@walkiecode.com.
Your voice
Walkie uses the speech recognition built into macOS and asks it to work on your Mac. Walkie doesn’t record audio, doesn’t store it and doesn’t send it to us. The recognized text goes to Claude Code as your message, exactly as if you had typed it, and from there Anthropic’s privacy terms for Claude Code apply. To read answers aloud, Walkie reads Claude’s latest answer from Claude Code’s files on your Mac. That text stays on your Mac too.
Walkie keeps a small troubleshooting log on your Mac (in ~/Library/Logs/Walkie). It may contain short fragments the microphone picked up. It never leaves your Mac unless you send it to us yourself.
This website
The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or third-party scripts. Fonts are served from our own server. When you start a payment, your browser remembers the order number in its local storage so the order page can find your order. It is only ever sent to our server to check that order. The browser also remembers, the same way, that you’ve closed the cookie notice.
When you buy
- Your email address. We use it to send your license key and download link, to answer you, and to find your purchase if you need help. We don’t send newsletters or marketing.
- Order details: order number, price, payment status and the transaction that paid for it, as recorded on the public TRON blockchain: transaction ID, amount, time and the sending address.
You pay straight to our wallet, with no payment company in between. Transactions on a public blockchain are visible to anyone by nature.
When you write to us
The contact form sends your name (if you give it), your email address, the topic and your message to our mailbox, the same way an email would. We use them only to answer you.
When Walkie runs
- Activation: your license key, a machine ID and your Mac’s name as set in System Settings. The machine ID is a one-way fingerprint of your Mac’s hardware ID that can’t be turned back into it. We use these to keep the limit of 2 Macs and to show you which Macs use your key.
- Update checks: once a day Walkie asks our server for the latest version number. This request contains no information about you.
- Downloads: we record the time and IP address of each download, to spot download links that have been shared.
Who processes data for us
- Hetzner (Germany) hosts our server and database in the EU.
- TronGrid lets our server read incoming payments to our wallet from the public TRON blockchain. It receives our wallet address, not your data.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- GitHub stores the Walkie download files. When you download, your browser fetches the file from GitHub.
- Cloudflare runs our domain name service and forwards emails sent to hello@walkiecode.com to our mailbox at Google.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU, they rely on the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Orders and licenses: as long as the license exists and as long as accounting law requires.
- IP addresses of downloads: 12 months.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Emails you send us: as long as needed to help you.
Why we may use it
We process this data to deliver what you bought and to provide the license (the contract with you), to keep records the law requires, and to protect Walkie from abuse such as shared keys (our legitimate interest).
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Write to hello@walkiecode.com. Deleting your data also deactivates your license. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Walkie is not meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. If a change matters for licenses you already have, we’ll tell you by email.
